Traditional Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient energy balancing system of bodywork dating back to the time of the Buddha, with its original roots in India. The massage works from the physical body to the most subtle aspects of our being. The treatment is conducted through the clothes and involves several main principles.

The application of pressure on the bodies tissues along energy lines known as 'Sen' lines, these stem from the
Hatha Yoga energy system of Nadis and Chakras. This pressure causes the physical body to relax allowing our energy to come into balance.

Stretching the body through the application of
Hatha Yoga postures by the therapist on the passive receiver. Resulting in a feeling of deep calm and openness. This gives the massage the affectionate nickname 'Lazy Man's Yoga'.

The use of acupressure points to beneficially work the nervous system and balance energy.

The fourth aspect is skeletal manipulation similar to Chiropracty, sometimes therapists will give your joints a good click.
